SPRING OPEN CAMPUS DAY APRIL 2 AT ABAC

TIFTON—Tours of the brand new ABAC Place apartments will be one of the highlights of the Spring Open Campus Day on April 2 at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Activities begin at 2 p.m. at the Carlton Center.

Residence Life Director Bernice Hughes said every prospective student who attends the visitation day will have a chance to see a fully furnished four-bedroom, two-bath unit in the $32 million complex.

Every student who lives at ABAC Place has a furnished private room complete with double bed, desk, chair, closet, ceiling fan, chest of drawers, extra storage space underneath the bed, cable television connection, and high speed internet connection.

“These rooms are filling up fast so everyone who wants one had better get their registration in as soon as possible,” Hughes said.

Hughes said she expects all 835 rooms to fill up for the 2005 fall term which begins on Aug. 22.

Open Campus Day visitors will also be able to take a walking and driving tour of the campus as well as view academic exhibits from all areas including nursing, wildlife, forestry, criminal justice, information technology and many more programs of study.

Admissions and financial aid personnel will be available to answer questions and provide the proper forms for students to pursue their college career at ABAC.

Alumni of the college can attend Homecoming 2005 activities during the early part of the day and bring their prospective students to Open Campus Day in the afternoon.
