RETIREMENT RECEPTION ON APRIL 25

TIFTON—Thirteen members of the Abraham Baldwin College faculty and staff will be honored at a Retirement Reception on April 25 from 4:15 – 5:30 p.m. in the Donaldson Dining Hall.

Those retirees to be honored included Joyce A Cogdell from the Physical Plant, Murray C. Fender from the Physical Plant, Charles Griffin from the Physical Plant, Jennifer T. Murphy from the Student and Enrollment Services office, Ellen R. Bullington from the Student Development Office, Jimmy R. Grubbs, Ag Technician in the Division of Agriculture and Forest Resources, Adrian R. Salter from the Physical Plant, John W. Tanner from the Physical Plant, Dr. Earl Bennett, professor in the Division of Science and Mathematics, Dr. Gaye Elder, professor in the Division of Humanities, Brenda Sellers, Director of the Baldwin Library; Emory Johnson, Director of the ABAC Bookstore; and Arlene Bailey, mail clerk in the ABAC Post Office.

Elder joined the faculty on Sept. 1, 1967.  Bennett became an ABAC faculty member on Sept. 1, 1980.   Johnson began work at the bookstore on July 1, 1973, and Sellers joined the library staff Sept. 1, 1972. 

Cogdell has been an ABAC employee since Jan. 25, 1982.  Fender joined the staff on Feb. 8, 1982, and Griffin came to the college on April 1, 1983.  Murphy has been a part of the ABAC staff since July 1, 1977, and Grubbs joined the staff on March 15, 1966.  Salter’s first day on the job was Jan. 25, 1975, and Tanner was hired on July 28, 1981. 

Bailey joined the staff on June 15, 1983, and Bullington came aboard on Oct. 17, 1994.   The reception is open to anyone who would like to attend.  Refreshments will be served.
