Victoria Horst is on the job as the new Director of the Baldwin Library.

HORST NAMED NEW LIBRARY DIRECTOR AT ABAC

TIFTON—Victoria Horst is the new library director for the Baldwin Library at Abraham Baldwin College.

Horst earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from Augustana University College in Alberta, Canada and a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Western Ontario, in London, Ontario.

She worked as Associate Director of Library Services for Public Services at Newberry (S.C.) College from 1994-2002.

From 2002-2003, Horst was a part of the Global Mission Volunteers program of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania, where she served as director of the Iringa University College library in Iringa, Tanzania.

“My family always traveled, despite the fact that we weren’t military. I am very much a nomad,” Horst said.

Horst said, “I am extremely pleased to be joining the ABAC and Tifton community, and I look forward to meeting everyone on campus.”

Horst replaces Brenda Sellers, who retires this month after 33 years with the Baldwin Library. She had served as library director since the 1997-1998 academic year.
