ABAC OFFERS TRIP TO GRAND OPENING OF
TIFTON - The Arts
Connection at ABAC invites you to the grand opening of the new High Museum of
Art in
Participants will depart by chartered bus at 7:50 a.m. The
trip’s package includes lunch, museum tickets and snacks, as well as a discount
coupon for the gift store and an audio guide at the museum in one package. The
cost is $65 for adults and $60 for students.
The museum’s
inaugural exhibit will be Andrew Wyeth:
Memory and Magic and a bonus exhibit, Celebrate
Architecture, a Renzo Piano Workshop. Wyeth's exhibit surveys seven decades
of his work, and includes approximately 100 rarely seen tempera paintings,
watercolors, and drawings.
Renzo Piano is the architect who
designed the three new museum buildings, which more than double the museum's
size. The Celebrate Architecture
exhibit showcases museum projects from around the country. It offers a unique
opportunity to view Piano's models in an interactive studio environment.
