                                               PACESETTERS NAMED AT ABAC

TIFTON--Thirteen individuals at Abraham Baldwin College recently received Pacesetter Awards from the campus newspaper’s editorial board and staff. A Superior Pacesetter Award was also presented to Dr. Jonathan Harrington, ABAC’s Job Placement Coordinator.

The college’s award-winning student newspaper, The Stallion, extends Pacesetter recognition annually to those who have worked for ABAC through their actions and exemplary service. Pacesetters are chosen from the student body, the administration, the faculty, and the staff. 

This year’s Pacesetter Award recipients included Wasdon Graydon, Director of Student Services; John Galyean, associate professor of theater and Director of the Baldwin Players; Lori Felton, assistant professor of Environmental Horticulture; Jimmy Grubbs, mechanical technician for Agriculture and Forest Resources; Barbara Wood, administrative assistant for Student and Enrollment Services; Janet Weaver, Office of Information Technology Services; Billy Purcell, assistant director of Public Safety; Julie Conner, instructor of Physical Education and women’s basketball coach; and Lani Burden, Hall Director of ABAC Place.

Student Pacesetter award recipients included Catrina Kennedy, an agriculture major from Claxton, who is president of the Interactivities Council (IAC); Sara  McKellar, an early education major from Moultrie, who is Student Union President; and Brian Wilson, a forestry/wildlife management major from Fayetteville, who is a resident advisor in Branch Hall.
