ABRAHAM BALDWIN BEAUTY REVUE NOVEMBER 16

TIFTON- Ms. Abraham Baldwin 2005 will be crowned on Nov. 16 at the 36th annual ABAC Beauty Revue at Abraham Baldwin College. The Revue is sponsored by the Inter-Activities Council, Student Government Association, and the College Activities Board. 

            The event will feature 52 contestants who will compete in casual wear and evening gowns. They will also be judged on a written essay and an interview with the judges. The Revue begins at 7:30 p.m. in ABAC's Donaldson Dining Hall. Admission is $3.

Students competing in this year's event include Emma Barksdale, an early childhood major from Stone Mountain, sponsored by Circle K; Anna Marie Barrett, a liberal arts major from Richland, sponsored by the men’s basketball team; Jodi Cawley, a nursing major from Ashburn, sponsored by the Inter-Activities Council; Kaedy Cawthon, an early childhood major from Jackson, sponsored by the ABAC Ambassadors; Elizabeth Chestnut, a history major from Chula, sponsored by Bible Study; and Melissa Cleary, an Ag Education major from Tifton, sponsored by the ABAC Ambassadors.

Other coeds competing for the crown are Shelby Coons, a veterinary technician major from Middleburgh, NY,  sponsored by the Rodeo Club; Katelyn Crow, an Ag Transfer major from Lake City, Fla., sponsored by the Honors Club; Anna Daniel, a pre-veterinary major from Jackson, sponsored by the ABAC Ambassadors; Casse Davis, a landscape design major from Stuart, Fla., sponsored by the Baptist Student Union; Elizabeth Davis, an Ag Education major from Hinesville, sponsored by the Student Government Association; Amanda Dillon, an animal science major from New Smyrna Beach, Fla., sponsored by 4-H; Lindsay Dillon, a business administration major from Coolidge, sponsored by the ABAC Cheerleaders; Leslie Dolph, a Family & Consumer Science major from Swainsboro, sponsored by BACCHUS; and Sallie Drew, an Ag Education major from Stockbridge, sponsored by 4-H..

Other contestants are Shonivia Edwards, a criminal justice major from Ocilla, sponsored by MASDA; Meghan Evans, a special education major from Rebecca, sponsored by the ABAC softball team; Brittany Ford, an early childhood education major from Fitzgerald, sponsored by the Interactivities Council; Eve Felton, an Ag Business major from Tifton, sponsored by the Horticulture Club; Lindsay Godfrey, an animal science major from Tifton, sponsored by the Cattlemen’s Association; April Graves, a wildlife tech major from Rabun Gap, sponsored by the AET Club; Alicia Griffin, an art education major from Alapaha, sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa; and Jennifer Guzman, a fashion merchandising major from Tifton, sponsored by WPLH.

Others participating are Crystal Hanson, an animal science major from Columbus, sponsored by the Rodeo Club; Ashley Harris, a business major from Tifton, sponsored by the Jazz Choir; Jessica Henson, a pre-veterinary major from Rabun Gap, sponsored by the Cattleman’s Association; Amanda Hewatt, a pre-veterinary major from Rebecca, sponsored by Baptist Student Union; Amanda Johnson, an undecided major from Tifton, sponsored by Baptist Student Union; Jessica Jones, an early childhood education major from Lenox, sponsored by The Stallion; Amanda Kersey, a business administration major from Tifton, sponsored by Alpha Beta Gamma; Kimberly Key, a Family & Consumer Science major from Tifton, sponsored by Family and Consumer Sciences; Bridney Kritz, a web technoloy major from Macon, sponsored by the women’s basketball team; and Julie Lawhon, a psychology major from Tifton, sponsored by the Baptist Student Union.

Other students competing for the title of Ms. ABAC include Whitney Lightfoot, an Allied Health major from Tifton, sponsored by the men’s tennis team.; Melissa Martin, an interior design major from Bainbridge, sponsored by the ABAC baseball team; Ashley May, a liberal arts major from Tifton, sponsored by the Jazz Choir; Noelle McCurdy, an early childhood education major from Tifton, sponsored by GAESP; Lindsay Moore, a biology major from Tifton, sponsored by the College Activities Board; Heather Porter, a secondary education major from Thomasville, sponsored by GAESP; Janeen Pritchard, an Ag Education major from Orlando, Fla., sponsored by the AET Club; Crystal Reep, an animal science major from Roberta, sponsored by the Rodeo Club; Jennifer Robinson, an information technology major from Duluth, sponsored by the AET Club; and Lisa “Michelle” Rozzelle, an Ag Business Tech from Cowarts, Ala., sponsored by the AET Club.

Among others hoping to win the title of Ms. ABAC are Christy Scoggins, a music major from Tifton, sponsored by the Concert Band; Marcy Shiver, an undecided major from Tifton, sponsored by the AET Club; Mallory Simmons, a special education major from Cochran, sponsored by AITP; Lacishia Tillman, an education major from Ray City, sponsored by Housing and Student Life; Melissa Van Houten, a biology major from Albany, sponsored by the Pre-Veterinary Club; Rebekah Wallace, an Ag and Environmental Systems major from McDonough, sponsored by Housing and Student Life; Melissa White, an early childhood education major from Tifton, sponsored by the Student Government Association; Anna Wiltshire, an Ag Education major from Athens, sponsored by the Cattleman’s Association; and Jeanna Zito, a pre-veterinary major from Newnan, sponsored by the AET Club.   

Andrea Willis, Division Chair of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics, will direct the pageant. Musical entertainment will be provided by soloist Derrick Dove. ABAC Director of Public Relations Mike Chason will serve as master of ceremonies. Ms. Abraham Baldwin 2004, Pippa Mpunzwana, will crown the new Ms. ABAC.
