JONES WINS MS. ABAC 2005

TIFTONJessica Jones, an early childhood education major from Lenox, was recently selected as Ms. ABAC 2005 at the 37th annual contest at Abraham Baldwin College.   Jones serves as captain of the ABAC cheerleaders and business manager of the student newspaper, The Stallion.

First runner-up was Jeanna Zito, a pre-veterinary major from Newnan; second runner-up was Mallory Simmons, a special education major from Cochran; third runner-up was Meghan Evans, a special education major from Ocilla; and fourth runner-up was Anna Daniel, a pre-veterinary major from Jackson.

Janeen Pritchard, an agriculture education major from Orlando, Fla., won the Essay Award. The winner of the Contestants’ Award was Casee Davis, a landscape design major from Stuart, Fla. Marcy Shiver, an undecided major from Tifton, won the People’s Choice Award. Jones was the

winner of the Interview Award.

Jones was sponsored by The Stallion.  Besides the cheerleaders, Jones is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Interactivities Council. . Jones is an active participant in church activities and would like to pursue a career as a teacher.

The event was sponsored by the Student Government Association, the Campus Activities Board, and the Inter-Activities Council.
