APPLY NOW FOR SUMMER TERM AT ABAC

TIFTON--There is still time for students to enroll for summer term classes at Abraham Baldwin College. Orientation for new freshmen students will be held June 3 beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the J. Lamar Branch Student Center. Registration for new and returning students will take place beginning at 2 p.m. that day

There is an orientation fee of $35, and pre-registration is a plus. “Pre-registration and payment will speed up the process,” said Angie Palmer, ABAC’s Director of Admissions. Those who have paid registration fees may report at 9:30 a.m.

Evening registration for the summer term will take place on June 1 from 4 – 9 p.m. Students will meet in the main lobby of the Ag Sciences Building. Summer term classes begin June 7 and end July 26. Final exams will be administered July 27-28.

Palmer said that after summer registration is completed, students can also register for the fall term that begins on Aug. 23. She also said that transient students home from another college or university should consider taking a summer class at ABAC to lessen their load for the fall semester when they return to campus.

There will be planned activities for students to get acquainted with future classmates during orientation, as well as a time for parents to get all their questions answered. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet the faculty and a great Q and A time for parents,” said Dr. Maggie Martin, ABAC’s Director of Student Development.

Students who need assistance paying for their college education can still apply for financial aid, but they must be prepared to pay initially and be reimbursed for the aid that they qualify for at a later date. For additional information, contact the Financial Aid Office at (229) 386-3235.
