Tifton-- The first concert of the
semester in the First Tuesday Performance Series at
Individual tickets for the performance may be purchased at the door. The cost is $3 for adults and $1 for students. ABAC students are admitted free with ID. Patrons of the Arts and Entertainment Series can also attend at no charge.
This is the second
year that in conjunction with each First Tuesday performance an art exhibit
will be in the
Don Coates, Music Instructor and Director of ABAC’s Jazz Ensemble, will perform the first movement from Haydn’s Concerto for Trumpet in E Flat and Clarinet Marmalade by Shields and Ragas.
Wayne P. Jones, Director of the Abraham Baldwin Arts Connection and Director of Choral Music at ABAC, will perform Luke Havergal, Richard Cory, and Miniver Cheevy composed by John Duke.
Director of Bands at ABAC Eugene Wyles will entertain with his performance of Scherzo in c minor by Paul Koepke for clarinet and It Is Well With My Soul by Bliss arranged by Olstad for alto saxophone.
Roe, assistant professor of voice, will present Faites-lui mes avieux from Faust by Charles Gounod and O Divine Redeemer, also by Gounod.
Sheri Wyles Grabowski, a music teacher with the Tift County School System and adjunct professor of applied woodwinds at ABAC, will perform Handel’s Sonata No. 3 in G major and Brun’s Romance. Op. 41.
