                                                             ABAC SCORES WELL IN THE AG CLASSIC

 

            TIFTON—First place in the fourth annual ABAC Ag Classic was awarded to the team of Sims, Fleming and Benson. This team won the $1,000 prize. This event was sponsored by the ABAC Ag Alumni Council to benefit the students of Abraham Baldwin College and the Division of Agriculture and Forest Resources.

            The second place $600 prize winner was Place Properties. ABAC’s own Ag Division student team came in third and received $500. The fourth place finishers of Willis, Garrison, Perry, and Williams tied with the fifth place finishers of J. Lanier Smith/MANA.

            The Mulligan drawing winner went to Ken Harper of Tifton. Harper was awarded a round of golf for four at the Reynolds Plantation.

Closest to the Pin winners for the morning session were Josh Guy of Fitzgerald and Ricky Willis of Tifton. The afternoon winners were Devin Scholtz of Valdosta and Fonnie Smith of Albany. Guy and Scholtz were awarded two rounds of golf each at Eagle Greens in Commerce. Willis and Smith received two rounds of golf each from The Chimneys in Winder.

Willis also won the morning session for the longest drive with Howard Corbett receiving the prize for the afternoon session. Winners were given a dozen golf balls each from Forest Lakes Golf Course.
