Beth Saxon has been selected as the Registrar at Abraham Baldwin College, effective immediately. She has served in that position on an interim basis since November 2001.

Saxon holds an M.Ed. degree in Secondary Education--Mathematics from Valdosta State College and a B.S. degree in Mathematics from Georgia State University.

Saxon came to ABAC in 1992 as a part-time instructor of mathematics in the Division of Science and Mathematics. In 1993, that position became full time. Saxon became an assistant professor of mathematics in 1996. She became the Interim Chair in the Division of Developmental Studies in 1997 and remained in that position until 1999 when she became the Director of the Learning Support Program.

Saxon also served as the Director of the Academic Intervention Management (AIM) Program from 1996 until she accepted the position as Interim Registrar. Before coming to ABAC, Saxon served as a public school mathematics teacher for 13 years.

“This past year-and-a-half as Interim Registrar allowed me to experience a complete academic year in the Registrar’s Office,” Saxon said. “The Registrar’s position will continue to provide new experiences every day, but because I have this experience, there should be no surprises. I hope to continue to move forward with new advances in technology and to take every opportunity to improve the services that we provide to the students and alumni of ABAC.”

Tom Call, ABAC’s Vice President of Student and Enrollment Services, said he’s looking forward to continuing to work with Saxon in this position.

“She has an excellent knowledge of ABAC’s academic policies and procedures, and she has a strong commitment to providing the best possible student services.”
