FALL MUSIC RECITAL
DECEMBER 8 AT ABAC

Music majors at Abraham Baldwin College will perform in ABAC’s Fall Music Recital
on Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. at the
Chapel of All Faiths. Admission is free.
Music majors at Abraham
Baldwin College
will perform in the Fall Music Recital on Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. at the Chapel of All Faiths. The concert is open to
anyone who would like to attend. There is no admission charge.
Several music
majors will be featured in the recital. Ryan
Clanton of Sandersville will perform “Modal Moods” by Robert Kehrberg on the trombone. David Durden of Sylvester will perform “Sonatina” by Hayden on the alto saxophone. Leigh Ann Farmer of Douglas
will perform “Nocturne from Concerto in G Minor” by Verhey
on the soprano clarinet. Josh Howell,
a percussionist from Fitzgerald, will perform “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers”
by Leon Jessel. Michael
Kitchens of Douglas will perform “Romance #3” by
Robert Schumann on the tuba. Nguyen Ly
of Tifton will perform “Concertante” by E. Paladilhe on the alto saxophone. Tomilyn Ragsdale of Nashville
will perform “Sonatinas” by Muzio
Clementi on the flute.
Katina Robinson of Tifton will perform
“Allegretto Grazioso from Sonata in F Minor, Op. 120, No.1”
by J. Brahms on the soprano clarinet. Andrew
Sawyer of Douglas will perform “Allegro” by Joseph Fiocco on the trumpet. Christy
Scoggin of Thomasville
will perform “Cantabile et Presto” by Georges Enesco
on the flute. George Tyner, a tenor
from Atlanta, will perform “Trade
Winds” from 3 Salt Water Ballads by
Frederick Keel and “Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless
Child,” arranged by Moses Hogan. Evan Zebley of Moultrie
will perform “Largo and Allegro
from Sonata VI” by G. F. Handel on the alto saxophone. Diane Coates will accompany each performer on the piano.
Although this
recital is the final performance involving the ABAC Music Department in which
the public is invited, ABAC music ensembles will continue to perform for
various clubs, banks, and organizations throughout the holiday season.
