NEW HOUSING ON THE WAY!

Females who live in Chandler Hall at Abraham Baldwin College during the fall semester will enjoy brand new housing during the spring semester. Vice President for Student and Enrollment Services Tom Call said all 200 females in Chandler will be moved to a new housing complex adjacent to Chandler beginning with the 2004 spring semester.

Call said the students will enjoy the benefits of a private room in a four-bedroom, two-bathroom suite in the new complex . They will have a full kitchen as well as cable, phone, and Internet access. For the spring semester only, the price will remain the same $950 per semester charge as living in Chandler.

Call said the students will be required to purchase a meal ticket at a cost of $980 for a 15-meals per week plan or $1,005 for a 19-meals per week plan.

Beginning with the 2004 fall semester, plans call for all students at ABAC to be housed in new residence halls. Most of the suites in the new facility will be four-bedroom, two-bath with  a private room for each student. Beginning with the 2004 fall semester, students living in the residence halls will sign a 12-month lease at a cost that could be as low as $345 per month. All utilities will be included in that price. The students will not have to purchase a meal plan.
