DORMINEY TO SPEAK AT ABAC GRADUATION MAY 8

124 graduates are expected to participate in the ceremony, which will be led by
ABAC President Mike Vollmer. Interim Vice President and Dean of Academic
Affairs Caroline Helms will present the degree candidates, and ABAC Alumni
Association President Beth English will induct the graduates into the ranks of
the alumni. Vollmer will present the George P. Donaldson Award to one of the
top graduates. The award is named for the ABAC president who served from
1947-61.
Dorminey has a perfect 4.0 grade point average at the
college and was a member of the ABAC women’s basketball team, which captured a
school record 21 victories this season. She is a
Dorminey is a
mathematics major who also received the Divisional Award for Distinction and
the Mathematics Divisional Discipline Award at the college’s Honors Day
ceremony in April. She received
All-Conference Honorable Mention for the 2002-03 basketball season. Dorminey is the
daughter of Edd and Janice Dorminey
of Tifton.
