ABAC STUDENTS ATTEND MUSIC CONVENTION

Eight students from Abraham Baldwin College were chosen to attend the recent Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) Music Convention in Savannah.

An All-College Band and an All-College Choir were part of the convention. ABAC students chosen to participate were first nominated by their college band and choral directors and then chosen from about 200 other nominees from around the state.

Ashley Hendrix of Fitzgerald was chosen to represent ABAC in the All-College Band. Students in the ABAC Concert Choir chosen to sing with the All-College Choir included Deena Roberts of Tifton, Alan Foster of Fitzgerald, Lakevius Robinson of Ocilla, Heather Hutchinson of Enigma, Johnathan Winter of Tifton, Alana Pearce of Fitzgerald, and Sharla Jones of Tifton.

The Music Convention, designed for music teachers and music majors, provides workshops that help participants teach music and also introduces them to new techniques that will enhance their ability to teach music.
