CAREER DAY FEBRUARY 19 AT ABAC

Representatives from over 30 companies will participate in Career Day at Abraham Baldwin College on Feb. 19. The event will take place in the Donaldson Dining Hall from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.  Students, alumni, and members of the community are invited to attend. There is no charge.

Dr. Jonathan Harrington, ABAC’s Coordinator of Job Placement, said Career Day offers employers the opportunity to talk to students one-on-one about career choices and possible employment opportunities.

“The opportunity for students to meet potential employers in person is far superior to making contact through cover letters,” Harrington said. “It is important for students to use Career Day to seek career advice from the numerous professionals visiting the campus. Students who attend Career Day may also have the opportunity to interview for a job.”

Companies to be represented at Career Day include Reynolds Plantation, Target Distribution Center, Tyson Foods, Inc., Color Burst, the Albany Police Department, the Thomasville Police Department, Citizens’ Security Bank, South Georgia Medical Center, Golden Peanut, Trugreen Landcare, Bass Custom Landscapers, CareOne Health Services, Tift Regional Medical Center, Valdosta State University Air Force ROTC, South Georgia Banking Company, American General Financial Group, the Georgia Department of Labor, and more.
