The day begins with registration in Gressette Gym at 10 a.m., and activities continue until 2 p.m. Academic information from all 51 majors will be on display in the gym. ABAC Ambassadors will conduct tours of the campus, and visitors will have an opportunity to talk with representatives in the admissions, housing, and financial aid offices. There will also be tours of the residence halls for students who plan to reside on campus.
Open Campus Day visitors are invited to attend a complimentary lunch at noon in the Donaldson Dining Hall. Visitors can also enjoy the entertainment of the Jazz Choir and the Sabor Latino Dancers. An added bonus for students is a $500 tuition grant that will be given away to one of the students attending Open Campus Day. The drawing is at 12:45 p.m. in the Donaldson Dining Hall, and the student must be present to win.
Instructors in all 51 degree fields at ABAC will participate in the "Exploring Majors and Careers" program. There will be two sessions, one at 11:30 a.m. and another at 1 p.m. Students can talk to instructors individually and ask questions as they consider different possibilities for majors and careers.
Open Campus Day is open to anyone who would like to attend. There is no charge, and preregistration is not required. For more information, contact the Admissions Office at (229) 386-3230 or 1-800-733-3653.
