ABAC STUDENTS NAMED TO WHO'S WHO

          The 2002 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges will include the names of 35 students from Abraham Baldwin College who have been selected as outstanding campus leaders. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1966.

          Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory have included the names of these students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities, and potential for continued success. Academically, students must have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average to be included. They join an elite group of students from more than 1,800 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and several other countries.

          ABAC students named to the list this year are Michael Baskett, an agriculture major from Commerce; Lakeisha Bell, a physical therapy major from Warner Robins; Tamara Bowens, a medical technology major from Clyo; David Bowles, a undeclared major from Doerun; D. J. Bradshaw, an animal science major from Clayton; Victoria Calhoun, a criminal justice major from Clarkston; Jason Cantrell, an animal science major from Jasper; Tiffany Chaney, an early childhood education major from Fitzgerald; Bo Chesser, a forest resources major from Nahunta; Jessiann Darga, a forest resources major from Inverness; Scott Thomas Dawson, a forest resources major from Sylvester; and Jeannie Fletcher, a family and consumer sciences major from Fitzgerald.

          Others included on the list were Kimberly Fletcher, a social legal options major from Tifton; Beauris Fleurilus, an engineering major from Orlando, Fla.; Graham Floyd, a pre-law major from Conyers; Stacey Flynt, an early childhood education major from Tifton; Eustace Griffin, an animal science/pre-veterinary medicine major from Hoboken; Carl Harrell, a business administration major from Columbus; Vickie Harsey, a journalism major from Omega; Crystal Huckaby, a secondary education major from Tifton, Jeannie Hutchinson, a pre-veterinary major from Hawkinsville; Mitzi Marshall, a forest resources major from Dahlonega; Jean Mathurin, a medicine major from Immokalee, Fla.; Shannon Moody, an early childhood education major from Hoboken; and Dalla Nascimento, a business major from Americus.

          Also named were Leslie Parrish, an animal science major from Savannah; Lindsay Paulk, a secondary education/history major from Moultrie; Todd Reece, a poultry science major from Ellijay; Lakevius Robinson, an exercise science major from Ocilla; Smith Sagesse, a computer science major from Naples, Fla.; Amanda Sanders, a landscape design major from Athens; Joshua Slaven, an environmental horticulture technology major from Rising Fawn; Jermaine Spence, a psychology major from Albany; Ashley Watkins, an agriculture sciences major from Ellijay; and Kimya Young, a secondary education major from Sylvester.
