ABAC FACULTY MEMBER DISPLAYS ARTWORK ON CAMPUS

Dr. Hazelyn Patterson, an assistant professor in the Division of Science and Mathematics at Abraham Baldwin College, recently displayed her artwork in the Baldwin Library.

Patterson, who had four paintings on display, said she began painting when she was about four years old.

“My dad used to paint, and I became interested by watching him when I was little,” Patterson said. “All of my current paintings are acrylic, but I have also worked with oils. I love to paint dreamy landscapes and flowers. This was my third exhibit, and I was very flattered when Ms. Brenda Sellers [Director of the Baldwin Library] suggested I display my work at ABAC.”

Patterson, who joined the ABAC faculty this fall, teaches General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Anatomy and Physiology classes.

“I really like the atmosphere at ABAC,” Patterson said. “It’s very friendly and relaxed.”

Most of Patterson’s paintings are for sale. Others can be seen at www.arches.uga.edu/~hazelyn.
