ABAC PLANS TRIP TO ENGLAND, IRELAND,

AND SCOTLAND

A brand new 12-day trip to England, Ireland, and Scotland is now available from the Public Service and Business Outreach Center at Abraham Baldwin College.

Diane Kilgore, director of ABAC's PSBOC said the trip replaces an earlier planned excursion to Ireland and Scotland only.

"We thought adding England to the itinerary would make this an even more attractive trip," Kilgore said. "The price is almost the same as before, but you get two days in England as a bonus."

The cost for the trip is $2,817 per person. That figure is based on double occupancy/Atlanta departure. Final sign up for the trip is April 1. Kilgore said the tentative departure date is June 20, with return to Tifton on July 1.

Travelers will enjoy a guided sight-seeing tour of London, including such historic spots as Piccadilly Circus, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, as well a visit to St. Paul's Cathedral. Prior to boarding the ferry to Ireland, the ABAC travelers will visit Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and the Roman Baths. Picturesque spots on the Ireland portion of the tour include Waterford, Blarney, Killarney, Bunratty's Medieval Castle, and visits to Dublin with special stops at St. Patrick's Cathedral and Trinity College.

Another ferry will take the group to Scotland where Edinburgh Castle and Hollyrood Palace, former home of Mary Queen of Scots, will be on the itinerary.

For more information on the trip or for an application, contact Kilgore at (229) 386-3267 or email her at dkilgore@abac.edu.

Previous ABAC journeys have included trips to Italy; London, Paris and the Alps; Greece; and Ireland and England.
