Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory have included the names of these students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities, and potential for continued success. Academically, students must have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average to be included. They join an elite group of students from more than 1,800 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and several other countries.
ABAC students named to the list this year are Melanie Anderson, an accounting major from St. Mary's; Shara Arnold, a business administration major from Decatur; Victoria Calhoun, a criminal justice major from Clarkston; Annelize Cloete, a marketing and management major from Port Alfred, South Africa; Barry "Bo" Chesser, a forest resources major from Nahunta; John Michael Crawley, a wildlife management and criminal justice major from Appling; Amber Dowd, an agriculture major from Pembroke; and Kristy Fletcher, a fashion merchandising and business management major from Sycamore.
Others included on the list were Tom Gay, a political science major from Tifton; Eustace Griffin, a pre-veterinary and animal science major from Hoboken; Shayla Kisling, an agriculture education major from Douglas; Laura Knowles, a family and consumer sciences education major from McRae; Elizabeth Martin, a family and consumer sciences--nutrition major from Tifton; and Lori Mae McFarland, a business administration major from Tifton; Ashli Metts, a pre-veterinary major from Alapaha; and Bo Moore, a journalism major from Tifton.
Also named were Amy Nicole Scott, an animal science and agriculture education major from Buchanan; Sanket Shah, a computer science major from Tifton; Carl Stalvey, an agriculture engineering major from Ray City; Andy Thornton, an agriculture engineering technology major from Monticello; Mary Spurlock, a business information technology major from Moultrie; Robert Tiner, a forestry major from Blakely; Jerrod Wall, a criminal justice major from McRae; Joshua Wall, a forestry major from McRae; and Teri Whiddon, a nursing major from Ashburn.
