Festivities will kick off April 6 with Golden Alumni activities honoring the Class of 1951. The Golden Alumni Luncheon will begin at 1 p.m. in the Donaldson Dining Hall.
A special memorial service will pay tribute to deceased alumni on April 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of All Faiths. Alumni will be given the opportunity to light a candle in memory of a former classmate, family member, or friend.
The Homecoming Dinner and Dance will begin at 7:30 p.m. on April 6 in the Donaldson Dining Hall. The Dance will feature the music of Swing Masters, who will play Big Band music as well as the music of Elvis and The Beatles.
Registration for Ag Alumni will take place in the lobby of the Cordell Conference Room at 9:30 a.m. on April 7. The Ag Alumni Council's Forum on Agriculture will follow a business meeting at 10:30 a.m. in the Cordell Conference Room. The keynote speaker is Congressman Saxby Chambliss, who was recently appointed to a leadership position for the House Ag Committee. He will discuss how the Bush Administration and Congress will handle agricultural concerns, especially the new farm bill.
Eight Alumni Awards will be presented at the Awards Luncheon on April 7 at noon in the Donaldson Dining Hall. The Alumni Golf Outing will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Forest Lakes Golf Club. The Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Red Hill Athletic Center, honoring Norman "Red" Hill, will also take place at 2:30 p.m. at the tennis courts.
A Forestry/Wildlife Reunion will honor Richard L. "Dick" Payne upon his retirement as Associate Professor of Wildlife after 18 years of service at ABAC in the Donaldson Dining Hall. Social time begins at 6:30 p.m.; dinner will be served at 7 p.m.
