Dr. Earl Bennett, Professor in the Division of Science and Mathematics at Abraham Baldwin College, was recently named the new Coordinator of Academic Technology.
Bennett has worked in the area of web course development, has an extensive knowledge of software, and is interested in new areas of instructional technology. He received his A.S. degree in Mathematics from ABAC, his B.S. and M.Ed. degrees in Mathematics Education from Valdosta State, and his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Georgia.
"I hope we can build on the great foundation started by Dr. Chrystle Ross," Bennett said. "Our main goal is, as it has always been, to promote the learning environment by making modern services and state-of-the art technology accessible to all in the college community."
Bennett has been a faculty member in ABAC's Division of Science and Mathematics since 1980. He replaces Ross, Professor in the Division of Business Administration, who is returning to full-time teaching.
