ABAC BAND AND CHOIR CONCERT NOVEMBER 16

          The Abraham Baldwin College band and choir will perform in their annual fall concert on Nov. 16 at 8 p.m. in Howard Auditorium on the ABAC campus. Tickets are $3, and all income will be used for scholarships for music students. There is no admission charge for ABAC faculty and staff and their families. Students will also be admitted free of charge by presenting their ID. To purchase advance tickets, call (229) 386-7178, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

          The concert band, under the direction of Eugene Wyles, will play selections including Vistas by Elliot Del Borgo, The Pathfinder March by John Phillip Sousa, Sounds of Music by Rogers and Hammerstein, and Finale by Tchaikovsky

          The concert choir, under the direction of Wayne Jones, will divide its performance into two segments. The first will consist of two songs from Morten Lauridsen's Les Chansons des Roses (Songs of Roses) five-song cycle, La Rose Complete, and Dirait-on. The second segment will consist of three spirituals: Moses Hogan's The Battle of Jericho and two Robert Morris arrangements, I Thank You, Jesus and Fix Me, Jesus.
