Keegan Westberry admits she knew absolutely nothing about ABAC until she
took a personality test in her high school counselor’s office. The results
of that test pointed her in the direction of ABAC.
“I like the community atmosphere at ABAC,” Westberry, a sophomore from
Brunswick, said. “I loved the campus the first time I saw it. It made me
feel like I was at home.” Westberry won the Ms. ABAC title in the annual
competition in Howard Auditorium last November. She plans to stay at ABAC
for four years to earn her Early Childhood Education bachelor’s degree.
“The best thing about being at ABAC is that I can be myself,” Westberry
said. “I have learned that it is okay to be yourself and just allow people
to accept you just the way you are. We all come from different places and
backgrounds which makes us all unique.”
Westberry served as the treasurer for the Residence Hall Association and
as a senator for the Student Government Association. She was also a member
of the Baptist Collegiate Ministries.
“I love the close knit community and the beautiful campus,” Westberry
said. “ABAC is such a great place to start out and the generosity of the
staff and the students really helped my decision.”
Her favorite quote is by Dolly Parton, “Smile, it increases your face
value”.
