Student Government Association President Kati Andrews knows how important it is to be involved in extracurricular activities on the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College campus.  Now she wants to share that key to success in college with her ABAC classmates.

“One of my main goals this year is to let students know how they can get involved in student activities,” Andrews, a sophomore biology major from Fort Valley, said. “There are so many chances for students to be involved.  SGA is just one example.”

Andrews was president of the sophomore class at ABAC this year.  She was also secretary of the Agricultural Engineering Technology club and secretary of the ABAC FFA chapter.

The 20-year-old Peach County High School graduate was also a Community Assistant (CA) in the ABAC Lakeside residence hall this year.  That allowed her to meet a lot of the freshman students living on campus.

Andrews plans to be a dentist one day but right now her days are consumed with getting ready for the return of the ABAC students for the fall semester on Aug. 17.
