Junior Chapman, an Ag Education major from Jasper, enjoys the small town atmosphere that ABAC offers.

“ABAC has all the benefits of a big college campus with the one on one teaching of a smaller college,” Chapman said. “The smaller class sizes definitely contribute to better comprehension.”

Chapman, the reigning Mr. ABAC, served as freshman class president in the Student Government Association this year.   He was also a member of the collegiate FFA, served as a tutor in Student Support Services, played intramural flag football and softball, and was on the intramural bowling championship team.   Chapman was also a welcome week leader and will serve as a Community Assistant in the residence halls during the fall term.

“FFA is what led me to attend ABAC because it is what developed my passion for Agriculture,” Chapman said. “Serving as State FFA President allowed me many opportunities to travel and spread the message of agriculture and the FFA.”

He hopes to continue his studies at the University of Georgia after completing his classes at ABAC.

Chapman said he has learned that time management is a virtue because ABAC has so much to offer that you can easily find yourself pulled between many things.

Chapman’s favorite quote is “Dream Big” because he feels as long as you dream big, you will never sell yourself short.
