WRITER’S
HARVEST TONIGHT AT ABAC
TIFTON – The
annual Writer’s Harvest will be held tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of All
Faith at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.
The cost for entrance is one nonperishable food item or canned good to
help benefit Brother Charlie's Rescue Mission here in Tifton. This event is
sponsored by ABAC’s literary magazine,” Pegasus”.
Dr.
John Galyean, ABAC Professor of Speech and Theatre, will serve as Master of
Ceremonies for the event. Following the
featured reading, Galyean will moderate a short talk with the two featured
writers, Dr. Niles Reddick, Vice President of Academic Affairs; and Dr. Sandra
Giles, associate professor of English at ABAC.
Following
the reading will be an opportunity for those in attendance to read or share
original works. There will be a sign-up sheet for anyone who would like to
participate.
Up
until November 20, 2009, “Pegasus” will continue to collect canned goods. Look
for drop-off locations in Conger Hall, King Hall, and the “Pegasus” office in
the student center on ABAC's campus.
