Tift Hall Parking Lot To Close October 8
TIFTON -
The
parking area in front of Tift Hall at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College will
be closed for the renovation of ABAC’s oldest building beginning Oct. 8. Tift
Hall was the first building occupied by students when the Second District
A&M School opened on Feb. 20, 1908.
Visitors
to the Enrollment Services Office and other offices in the J. Lamar Branch
Student Center can now use the new visitors’ spaces in a small parking lot on
the southwest side of the building. The parking lot can be accessed by
turning off Davis Road, which is located at the south end of the campus, and
traveling north on Campus Road. The Enrollment Services Office is located
on the second floor of the Student Center.
Faculty
and staff who normally park in front of Tift Hall can utilize the lot between
the Donaldson Dining Hall and the Carlton Center or the lot adjacent to the
Health Sciences Building. The Weltner Hall lot
will be available for employees whose offices are located in that building.
Tift
Hall, Lewis Hall, Herring Hall, and the Information Center will be contained
within the construction fence. Please be careful around this construction
zone as the historic Front of Campus Project begins.
