PACESETTERS NAMED AT ABAC

TIFTON—Thirteen Pacesetter Awards from the campus newspaper’s editorial board and staff were presented at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College’s Student Leadership Banquet. A Superior Pacesetter Award was also presented to Dr. David Bridges, president of the college.

The institution’s award-winning student newspaper, “The Stallion,” extends Pacesetter recognition annually to those who have worked for ABAC through their actions and exemplary service. Pacesetters are chosen from the student body, the administration, the faculty, and the staff who, through their hard work, talent, and devotion, embody the spirit of the college.

This year’s faculty and staff Pacesetter Award recipients included Dr. Niles Reddick, Vice President of Academic Affairs; Otis Smith, Custodian; Pam Leonard, Executive Assistant to the Office of the President; Kim Ascani and Dr. Don Parks of the Student Success Center; Midge Galentine-Steis, Director of Baldwin Library; Dr. Eddie Seagle, Professor of Agriculture and Environmental Studies; Jimmy Felton, technician for the Horticulture Department; Debra McCrary, Registrar; and Dr. Larry McGruder, Professor of Social Science. 

Student Pacesetter award recipients included Dan Pennington, a diversified agriculture  major from Madison; Keith Lee, a political science major from Cartersville; and Andy Smith, a history major from Folkston.
