JEFFERSON RESIDENT AWARDED SCHOLARSHIP AT ABAC

TIFTON—J. Cain Thurmond of Jefferson has been awarded a scholarship from the ABAC Foundation to attend Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College during the 2009-10 academic year.

Thurmond, an animal science major, received a FFA Officer Scholarship.  He is a graduate of Jefferson High School.

The application deadline for the fall term at ABAC is Aug. 1.  Fall semester classes begin Aug. 17.
