HAZLEHURST RESIDENT RECEIVES ABAC SCHOLARSHIP

TIFTON—Kayla Davenport from Hazlehurst has been awarded a Presidential Scholarship from the ABAC Foundation to attend Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College during the 2009-10 academic year.

Davenport, a general business major, is a graduate of Jeff Davis High School.

ABAC President David Bridges said only three Presidential Scholarships will be awarded this year. 

“We look forward to Kayla’s contributions to student life at ABAC,” Bridges said.   “We instituted this Presidential Scholarship program last year with great results, and I know the three students receiving those scholarships this year will be equally as impressive.”

The application deadline for the fall term at ABAC is Aug. 1.  Fall semester classes begin Aug. 17.
