ABAC INSTRUCTOR SELECTED FOR CONFERENCE

 

            TIFTON— Dustin Bass, instructor of economics at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, has been selected by AgroKnowledge, the National Center for Agriscience and Technology Education, to attend the AgCareers.com U.S. Human Resources Roundtable in Champaign, IL Aug. 3 – 5.

            This conference is aimed at all human resource professionals, career service staff, and relevant association representatives within the agriculture, food science, natural resources and biotechnology industries.

            “I am really excited about the industry tours,” Bass said.  “But I am really interested in the topics that will be covered, like ‘How to Find the Perfect Hire’.”

            Bass hopes this glimpse into the human resources process will benefit his students during their academic careers at ABAC.

            “This will give me an inside look at what human resource professionals look for when finding applicants for positions in the field of agriculture,” Bass said.  “This information will help me to better guide students in what they want to do in their careers.”
