SEVENTEEN GRADUATE FROM
TIFTON—Seventeen
individuals from the South Georgia area recently received certificates at
graduation exercises for the 233rd session of the Georgia Public Safety
Training Center (GPSTC)
Academy Director Marty Smith said the Overall Achievement award for the session was awarded to Zane M. Dooley of the Dougherty County Police Department. Dooley also received second place in Firearms. First place in Academics went to Christopher L. Baggett of the Thomasville Police Department, and second place was awarded to Crystal L. Parker of the Thomasville Police Department.
First place in Firearms was awarded to Marcus D. Harris of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Harris also served as President of the 233rd session.
Other graduates included William H. Day, Terry B. Haire, and Dexter C. Sapp of the Bainbridge Police Department; Christopher C. Bryant of the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office; John R. Marion of Lake Park, sponsored by the GPSTC; Christopher J. Hansen and Pete Hansen of Leesburg, sponsored by the GPSTC; Shallyn M. Hartley of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office; Paul S. Green of Ocilla, sponsored by the GPSTC; Samuel G. Richardson of the Thomasville Police Department; Tiffany S. Floyd of Tifton, sponsored by the GPSTC; and Benjamin A. Carmichael and Freddie D. Wright, III of Valdosta, sponsored by the GPSTC.
