TIFTON - The Baldwin Players of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural
College will perform improvisational comedy March 5 - 7 at 7:30 p.m. each night
in Room 319 of Conger Hall on the ABAC campus. Admission is free for ABAC
students, faculty and staff each; all others will be charged a $5 admission fee.
Dr. John Galyean, a faculty member in the ABAC Division of
Humanities who directs the Baldwin Players, said this year’s improv company is
called “Outside the Box.” All the
performers are ABAC students and alumni. The show will feature approximately 10
sketches with a total run time of about an hour.
Performers involved with the evening of comedy are Russell
Taylor, an ABAC alumnus from Moultrie; Leslie Avalos of Moultrie; Stephanie
Mathis from Nashville; Braxtal Moody of Barney; Mia Danford from West Point;
William Q. Lewis of Blakely, Lauren Woods from Tifton, and Jason Shealey of
Fitzgerald.
“We hope the audience
members will call out things we ask for, like relationships such as brothers or
cowboys and locations such as Disney World or the dark side of the moon,”
Galyean said. “Without audience suggestions, there’s no sketch. The audience is
the engine which drives the improv machine.
Come be a part of live theatre and live improv at ABAC!”
