ASHBURN STUDENT TO COMPETE FOR MR. ABAC TITLE
TIFTON—Soloman
AbouHarb of Ashburn will compete with 17 other men for the title of Mr.
ABAC at
Sponsored, produced, and directed by the Family and Consumer Sciences Club, the event will begin at 7 p.m. in Howard Auditorium. The cost is $4 in advance and $5 the night of the competition. Tickets can be purchased at the Ag Sciences building from Judy Perry or Dr. Darby Sewell or by calling (229) 391-4790.
AbouHarb is a sophomore wildlife technology major. He is the son of Tonya AbouHarb and is sponsored by the Forestry and Wildlife Club.
Contestants are sponsored by campus clubs, athletic teams, and student media. They will compete in casual attire, formal attire, and interview categories. Contestants will also be judged on a written timed essay. The top contestant will receive a plaque and a cash prize. A contestant’s, interview, and essay award will also be given. The Family and Consumer Sciences Club members will choose “Mr. Photogenic,” “Best Eyes,” “Best Smile,” and other awards.
Travis Kern, faculty member in the Colquitt County High School Choral Department, will emcee the event.
