CELEBRATION OPENS ABAC 100th BIRTHDAY PARTY ON MARCH 31
TIFTON- A Centennial
Celebration at Homecoming 2007 on March 31 will kick off the year-long 100th
birthday party for
Alumni Relations Director Nancy Coleman said the annual Homecoming awards luncheon at noon on March 31 will include some special birthday surprises.
“No birthday party would be complete without a cake, so everyone can look forward to a very special ABAC birthday cake,” Coleman said. “We also have some other events planned that will connect us to our past.”
The activities continue at 2 p.m. on March 31 with a new event called “Merriment on the Meadows,” where children and adults can enjoy a wide variety of games and fun events. The Fillies softball team and the Stallions baseball team will also both be at home for doubleheader action.
At 6 p.m., a barbecue dinner will be held in the dining hall followed at 7 p.m. by the student and alumni variety show. This talent show proved to be a big hit last year with some very talented individuals from the campus and the alumni ranks taking part.

will be in full swing at 8 p.m. with the Homecoming Dance featuring musical
performers, StarBound. The group is

Tickets for the dinner, show, and dance are $15. Dance tickets are available for $5 each. Students are admitted to the show and dance at no charge with ABAC ID.
Other events of Homecoming 2007 will include the Peach State Stampede rodeo, a Forum on Agriculture featuring ABAC President David Bridges, and a dinner/dance on March 30 spotlighting the ABAC Jazz Band.
