How to Avoid Date Rape

1. Express what you want clearly. Make it clear before you get into a sexual situation what your limits are.

2. Beware of alcohol and drugs. It is much harder for you to be in control of the situation if you're under the influence of these substances.

3. Avoid secluded places. Don't go to a beach, park, or deserted place with someone you’ve just met. Suggest meeting at public places whey you’re getting to know someone.

4. Have your own transportation. Don't rely on your date for transportation Drive your own car, or go out with a group.

The ABAC Police Department hopes that no one on this campus has to become the victim of a sexual assault. But, if an incident occurs, we are here to help the victim and apprehend the assailant. The Department also offers presentations on such topics as protection for women, personal safety, tips for crime prevention, property identification, and discussions about alcohol awareness.
