Looking on a star they pray on that night
Diamonds in a midnight sky watch as they wait
Desperate for someone but fighting love's flight

Wanting his touch she holds back with all might
Fearful of rejection both wait for fate
Looking on a star they prayed on that night

Wishing, hoping, praying without fright
He longs for her, able to break any gate
Desperate for someone but fighting love's flight

Blinded by loneliness, love will bring sight
Wanting and praying love will not be late
Looking on a star they prayed on that night

On a dark night love shines as a light
Separated, longing, distance they hate
Desperate for someone but fighting love's flight

Reflections of love will always shine bright
Cautiously watching they will always wait
