ABAC women’s tennis player Monika Lalewicz has been named the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Player of the Year for the second consecutive season, according to information received this morning from ABAC Coach Alan Kramer.  Kramer also said assistant coach Dale White was named the Assistant Coach of the Year in the NJCAA.  Lalewicz, a sophomore business major from Mississaugh, Canada, won the national title at #1 singles last season and won her first match 6-0, 6-0 on Sunday in the first round of this year’s tournament.  The Fillies won every match but one in the opening round of the tournament, which is being held in Tucson, Ariz. On April 25, Lalewicz was named the MVP of the NJCAA Region XVII tournament at the Red Hill Tennis Center when ABAC won its 16th consecutive championship. “Attending ABAC has been an eventful two years,” Lalewicz said. “The best thing about ABAC has been the people.  Tifton is the friendliest place I have ever been, and the hospitality has been phenomenal.”
