Soccer excites fans across
the world, and soccer mania came to the ABAC campus in 2006 when the college
initiated its first women’s soccer program.
Coach
Jimmy Ballenger’s
Fillies compete in
the Georgia Junior College Athletic Association. In terms of the number
of teams, soccer is the most popular women’s sport
in the GJCAA.
ABAC added a new dimension
to its 421-acre campus in 2007 with the addition of a women’s
intercollegiate soccer field. The Fillies have a built in fan base since
the field is located next to the ultra modern ABAC Place Apartments Complex.
