Shanekia begins her second year as a Fillie. Shanekia had a very successful year as a freshman and was a key player on last years GJCAA Conference Championship team. She is the daughter of Juanita Felton and Charles Hall. She has two brothers and three sisters.

Conner on Felton:  “Shanekia is a great athlete and has the outstanding ability to play anywhere on the floor. She always plays aggressive and drives the lane extremely well. Shanekia also sees the floor well and has tremendous passing ability. Overall she plays hard and smart basketball.”

Fillie Fun Facts:  Shanekia’s favorite basketball memory is winning the GJCAA Conference Tournament last season…favorite basketball players are Mike Bibby and Tina Thompson…favorite professional team is Sacramento Kings…she would do anything to be able to spend the day with her grandfather, Charlie Felton, to win the Conference Tournament again, to win Nationals, to achieve all her goals, and to be successful…she admires her grandmother, Nettie Ashmon and her uncle, Wilbur Ashmon Sr. the most…best advice ever given was to “never give up on my teammates, coaches, or myself when times are bad, work hard to work things out and good things will come out of it, just give it time”…in ten years she hopes to be married with one child and playing professionally…her high school coach, Rogeric Ladd, and her grandmother, Nettie Ashmon, are the most impressive people she has ever met…favorite foods include French fries and fried chicken.
