#25 Bronwyn Smyre*5’10”*Sophomore*Guard/Forward*Hephzibah, Georgia

Major:  Radiology

Bronwyn (pronounced Bron-win) begins her sophomore season as a Fillie.  She is one of the five returning pioneers from last year.  Her experiences at Hephzibah High School were just unbelievable as she helped her team go to the State GHSA Final Four all four years of her high school career under Coach Wendell Lofton.  Smyre’s AAU team under the direction of Gregory Williams was just as successful, winning the Georgia Games in 2000 & 2001.  Bronwyn is the daughter of  Beverly and Russell Smyre.  She has one brother.  Conner on Smyre:  “Bronwyn is a definite asset to our program because of her versatility.  At the end of last season, she was the only player who had minutes playing every position on the team.  It is wonderful how Bronwyn is willing to play all over and just do whatever is best for the team.”  Fillie Fun Facts:  Bronwyn lists her Mom as the person whom she admires the most...her favorite basketball memories are playing in all of those Final Four’s and Georgia Games...favorite food is collard greens.
