ABAC:  Katelyn played the majority of the games in 2009 in the Fillie outfield.

Campbell on Katleyn:  “Katelyn is another great player coming to us from Jones County High School.  Katelyn is a fundamentally sound player who can play in the infield as well as the outfield.  She is a hard worker and I expect great things from her in 2010.”

High School:  Katelyn was a four year letterman at Jones County High School in Gray, Ga.  Her sophomore year she was awarded Most Improved.  Her junior and senior year she was awarded Best Offensive Player Award. Her sophomore, junior, and senior year she was awarded the Jessica Trimnell Character Award.  During her junior year she made the 1st Team All-Region team.

Personal:  Katelyn was born in Macon, Ga. on December 18, 1989 to Ferris and Polly Smith. She has an older sister named Faren who attends Georgia College and State University.  Her hobbies are playing softball, spending time with her family and friends, attending church at Bradley Baptist Church in Gray, Ga., and going to the beach. Her major is Early Childhood Education and plans to attend Georgia College and State University after ABAC.

Why ABAC?  I choose ABAC because I loved the environment when I came to the school and the people.  Coach Campbell and all of the players made me feel welcomed when I came to try-out for the team.
