Campbell on Alyssa:  “I am so excited to have Alyssa in our softball program as well as a student at ABAC.  She is a model student-athlete as she excels in the classroom and on the softball field.  She is a fundamentally sound player with great work ethics and I only expect great things from her while she is at ABAC.”

High school:  Alyssa was a 4 year Varsity Softball letterman at Cook High School.  Alyssa was awarded the Most Improved Player Award her sophomore year, and named Team Captain her senior year.  As a sophomore, Alyssa was named First Team-All Region.  During her senior year, Alyssa was named Second Team-All Region Infielder. Alyssa graduated as Valedictorian of the Class of 2008.

Personal:  Alyssa was born October 3, 1989.  Her parents are Steve and Lisa Simmons, and she has one older brother, Brian.  Her interests include playing softball, spending time with family and friends, attending Tift Ave. Church of God, learning, talking, and having fun.  Alyssa is majoring in History and plans to transfer to a four year university to become a History professor.

Why ABAC?  “As a little girl, I knew that I wanted to be an ABAC Fillie, playing softball for Coach Campbell!  ABAC is the complete package. Not only does it offer excellent academics, but also an awesome softball program. I knew if I chose ABAC, I would be receiving top notch education while playing for one of the best softball teams in the state of Georgia.”
