Campbell on Ashli:     “I am excited to have Ashli come to ABAC and be a member of my Fillie team.  This past fall, she has had an excellent season as our starting 3^rd baseman and I expect her to play at big role for my 2008 Fillie team.”

 

High School: Ashli attended Chapel Hill High School where she played varsity softball for three years under Coach Mick Harper. Ashli was awarded best defensive award her freshman year, most improved player her sophomore year and best defensive award again her senior year. Ashli and the Chapel Hill Lady Panthers also finished 2^nd in the state her junior year and she was also named to the all county team that year as well.

 

Personal:  Ashli was born on January 28, 1988 to her parents Larry and Deanna Chafin. Ashli also has a little brother, Matthew, who is currently a senior at Chapel Hill and also plays baseball for the Panthers. Ashli enjoys sports, hanging out with her friends and family and going to church. Ashli plans on finishing her core classes at ABAC and applying to ABAC’s nursing program in the upcoming fall or spring.

 

Why ABAC? I chose to transfer to ABAC because of the great nursing program they offer. I also wanted to continue playing softball and I really liked Coach Campbell and the way she ran her team.
