#3 Laura Brown *Freshman*
*Outfield* *5'4"* *Bats R/Throws R* Villa Rica, GA
Campbell on Laura: “I am very proud to have Laura in our program. She is an excellent outfielder and I expect her to have another great year in our outfield. She is a fundamentally sound player and a joy to coach.”
ABAC: “Laura had an excellent freshman year playing in our outfield. She was named to the GJCAA All Region team and this year I expect her to once again be one of our leading hitters and will anchor our outfield.”
High School: Laura was a member of the Villia Rica softball team all four years in high school. She received the Defensive Player of the Year her senior year, making only one error during the season. One big highlight in Laura’s softball career so far has been that she was able to play in the American Classics Tournament in Hawaii.
Personal: Laura was born in Villa Rica, Ga. on November 16, 1987. Her parents are Hank and Janet Brown and she has an older brother named Jeffery. Laura hobbies include softball, singing, and just hanging out with close friends. Laura is majoring in English and wants to be an English teacher one day on the high school level.
Why ABAC: “The reason I chose ABAC is to play softball while receiving an education. The campus was wonderful and I really felt like this was the place to be. ABAC is not so big that so I felt comfortable in the smaller classroom. Coach Campbell told my family and me how the teachers do care, and so that really sold me. Coach Campbell is honest and is a pleasure to be around.”
