#22 Magan Davenport** Sophomore *1B* *6'0"*  *Bats R/Throws R*  Douglasville, GA

Campbell on Magan:  “Magan is the natural 1st baseman and is solid handling the bag.  She has an excellent glove and is fundamentally sound.  Her height and glove is an asset to the Fillie infield.”

ABAC:  “Magan had an excellent freshman season at 1st base for the Fillies in 2007 and once again will be the anchor in the infield.  She is a joy to have on my team.”

High school:  Magan attended Chapel Hill High School where she played varsity softball under Coach Mick Harper for three years. Magan was awarded All County Player of the Year, All County Team playing first base and pitching.  She was also named to the All Region Team, and won the Best Defensive award for her team her junior year. Magan also made the All County team at the first base position and Coaches award for my team my senior year. Her team finished 2nd in the State her junior year. She also was named to the  "Who's Who Athlete" and got the Bobbie Bailey Award for 2006. She also was a three year varsity letterman for the Lady Panther's basketball team.

Personal: Magan was born October 7, 1987. Her parents are Johnny and Sandra Davenport and she has two brothers, Mike and Doug, and a niece Madison. Magan enjoys playing softball and basketball, riding four wheelers, and spending time with my family and friends. After ABAC I plan on playing softball at a four year college and become a Pediatric Optometrist.

Why ABAC?  “I chose ABAC because I really liked being around the girls on the team and Coach Campbell, and the campus was really great.”
