ABAC Softball Tradition
Since the softball program began in 1988, Abraham Baldwin has built a strong softball tradition and has been a dominating team in Region XVII. The Fillies have compiled a total record of 600 wins and 301 losses, while capturing eleven Region XVII titles in nineteen years. From 1988 to 1996, the slowpitch teams won 346 games and lost 117 times. In nine seasons of fastpitch, the Fillies have captured five Region XVII Fastpitch titles, one District C Championship, and four top 16 finishes in the NJCAA National Tournament. A total 19 softball All-Americans have been named from ABAC.
In ten years of fastpitch, ABAC has had thirty one players sign four-year softball scholarships. Three coaches have guided the Fillies since 1988: Coach Ellen Vickers (1988-1994), Coach Greg Tanner (1995), and Coach Donna Campbell (1996-present).
