Campbell
on Candice: “Candice
is the complete player, she loves the game, has great fundamental skills at the
plate as well as on defense. She knows
one gear and that is wide open! She will
be a fun player to watch.”
High
School: Candice played on the Port Perry Angels Tier
1 traveling team, and was fortunate enough to experience playing in the Canada
Cup in British Columbia. Candice was
also part of the team that finished 3rd at Provincials, as well as 3rd
at the Nationals, making them the number three seed team in all of Canada. In high school Candice participated in
soccer, rugby, as well as track and field – getting 3rd in Ontario
in the 100 meter sprint.
Personal:
Candice was born on November 25, 1984 in
Peterborough, Ontario to her loving parents Randy and Ann Toms. She has one older brother Scott, and a
younger sister Christy. Candice’s
hobbies are exercising, weight lifting, spending time with friends and family
back home, and playing softball. She is majoring in Secondary Education.
Why
ABAC?: I decided to come to ABAC because it has a
small, friendly environment with an excellent softball program. It has a positive atmosphere, and after
talking with Coach Campbell I decided this was the perfect place for me to
start my softball and academic career.
